Think Fast, Act Smart: Making Unconscious to Wiser Decisions
Date Published
We as people who want to get ultra-productive often think fast but is it that bad at all?
The idea of thinking fast and slow comes from the book "Thinking Fast And Slow" by Daniel Kahneman.
Daniel states that we have two systems where we think fast or we think slow. When we think fast we are operating effortlessly, intuitively, unconsciously and often it is very error-prone because we are making shallow judgments. However, with the slow system it is completely different, this part is conscious, analytic and logical reasoning. In contrast to the fast system the slow system needs more energy and as name suggests it is much slower.
What is interesting I found out in my life the change became when I started using the slow system moreoften but this is still the least powerful insight because the biggest change comes when we are able to learn our fast system to think like slow system but unconsciously!
Using this method we can do anything, since unconsciously we are making decisions that are based on very strong analytic foundation.
We name this sometimes as habits, but the unconscious mind we are training influences all the things in our lifes.
I think the next action you can do is to start forming your unconscious mind by correcting yourself when your unconscious mind drifts.
