The Story Behind How I Discovered a Bullet-Proof Rule for My Life

I used to think that productivity was all about speed and perfection. If I wasn’t working against the clock, I felt like I was falling behind. But over time I realized something deeper: the clock is the worst master, and chasing perfection is a trap. What really matters is rhythm and alignment.

From this insight, I shaped a personal rule of life:

One true action in each gift. Every day, I do at least one thing in every area that truly matters — body, mind, work, heart, soul. These are the steps that make everything else easier or unnecessary.

Order over timing. I follow the rhythm of my habits, not the tyranny of the clock. I don’t need to be perfect; I just need to stay aligned.

Lessons, not losses. Obstacles and failures are tests that teach. What I haven’t achieved doesn’t define me. I hold only what strengthens love, mission, and growth.

Evening examen. At the day’s end, I ask myself:

1. Did I touch each goal with one meaningful action?

2. Did I keep rhythm instead of letting the clock rule me?

3. Did I grow, even a little, compared to yesterday?

This simple framework set me free. I stopped worrying about when and started focusing on what matters most. Obstacles no longer feel like reasons to quit, they became fuel for growth. Failure stopped being an ending; it became just another data point in my lifelong experiment.

And when I finally lay down to rest at night, I know I didn’t just chase time.

I lived by my own rhythm.
